In the 1940s, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello performed their baseball comedy routine many times—on stage, radio, and television. One version plays continually in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New Jersey. Time magazine named it the Best Comedy Sketch of the 20th Century.

On December 20, 2012, announcer Steve Higgins plays the confused Costello with Jimmy Fallon as Abbot, followed by Billy Crystal, A.D. Miles, and Jerry Seinfeld.
