Everybody makes mistakes in speaking and writing, which is hopefully never fatal. We should notice that when pointing a finger at someone, we have three fingers pointing back at ourselves.
Perhaps we’ll never be told when we mess up, and we can continue in our ignorance with no reason to be embarrassed.
Or maybe someone will be kind enough to point out our error and give us a chance to change.
