A writer once said to an acquisitions editor, “I wrote exactly what the Lord gave me, so I’m sure this book will be a bestseller.”
After reading the first paragraph, the editor said, “I don’t blame the Lord for giving it to you. I wouldn’t want it either.”
Great books require a little inspiration and a whole lot of perspiration. When we think our work is ready for publication, much more work may need to be done.
Here’s how we should NOT approach an editor.
